The maintenance and utilization of the infrastructure is carried out with the help of various committees.
The college has Campus maintenance committee that supervises the maintenance of buildings, lecture

halls, Seminar halls, laboratories. Computers, library, sports & play grounds, rest rooms.
The Campus maintenance committee is headed by the Administrative Officer (AO) who in turn monitors
the work of the Supervisor at the next level. The Supervisor is accountable to efficiently organizes the
workforce among various duties Viz., individual floor - wise responsibilities Maintaining duties and work
timings maintained staff leaves periodic checks to ensure the effective functioning of the infrastructure
Adequate in-house staff is employed to meticulously maintain cleanliness of infrastructure to provide a
congenial learning environment. Dustbins are placed in every floor. The Green wrap of the campus is well
maintained by gardener. Optimal working condition of all property / equipment on the campus is ensuring
during annual maintenance contracts. The annual maintenance contracts purview includes maintenance of
Generator, Air Conditioners, CCTV cameras and Mineral water plants. Apart from contract workers, the
college have trained in- house electricians cum plumbers. Hardware engineers under the supervision of the
System administrator maintain the efficiency of the college computers and accessories. Parking facility is
well organized. It is powerfully maintained by yearly renewed contract workers. The campus maintenance
is monitor through CCTV Cameras. Every department maintains a stock register for the available
apparatus. Proper assessment is done and verification of stock takes place at the end of every year.
The civil and electrical work is sufficiently monitored and maintained by the campus officer. Periodic
reporting on requirements of repairs and maintenance are submitted by the HODs to the Principal. The
necessities are collectively processed in every semester break so as to keep things ready for the new
semester.
• Pest control of library books and proceedings is done every time by the maintenance committee.
• Administrative Officer and his team together looks into the maintenance of infrastructure facilities.
This team looks after the regular continuance of civil works such as furniture repairs, masonry and
plastering works, painting, carpentry, plumbing and house- keeping. The non-teaching staff is also skilled
in maintenance of science and computer equipment. The Supervisor look after the maintenance of rest
rooms, approach roads and neatness of the entire site. clean-up services are regularly executed and
monitored.
1.Maintenance of Laboratories
The Equipment in the labs is monitored by the lab technicians who closely observe their functioning &
calibration regularly and report failures to the lab in charges. The lab in-charges are responsible for the
physical safety, preventive and breakdown maintenance of all lab equipment. They also suggest the
purchase of new equipment (necessitated by change of Syllabus), scrapping obsolete and old equipment in
the lab stock and for the replacement/ repair of the damaged. The equipment and machineries in the
laboratory/workshop are maintained by well-trained technical staff. All laboratories are supported with
power backup system (UPS) and in addition to the standby power generators. Safety of the student and
staff is paramount important in the institution. Each and every lab is provided with the safety equipment
and student/staff were given necessary instructions to maintain safety in the laboratories.
1.Maintenance of Classrooms:
The Classrooms, Seminar halls and Laboratories, Departmental office, Staff rooms, Administrative office
are cleaned and maintained with good hygiene. A designated supervisor ensures the job is carried-out

regularly. The Dustbins are located in every floor in the college campus. The Classrooms, Seminar halls
and Laboratories, Departmental office, Staff rooms, Administrative office are having the access to Wi-Fi
facilities. All the building blocks are connected with fire hydrant system as a prevention measure. Fire
extinguishers were also placed at prominent locations and spots as a safety measure. The building blocks
are well maintained and periodical maintenance checks are being carried to ensure the safety and security
of the students.
1.Maintenance of IT Infrastructure:
Trained technical staff and the lab assistants under the supervision of the System Administrator maintain
the college IT Infrastructure effectively and efficiently. The IT infrastructure includes computers hardware
and peripherals, safety and security equipment and other accessories. There are a good number of system
software and application software available in the college. The college also promotes the use of open
source software to enhance the ability and application of the same to solve the engineering problems.
1.Electrical Works and Maintenance:
The College has a very strong in-house team of well-trained electricians and plumbers who maintain the IT
and electrical services such UPS backup, Generator, Air Conditioners, CCTV cameras, lift-maintenance,
Solar Power Plant, Water Purifiers. In addition, the system administrator ensures the validity of the
software and also maintains them. The electrical maintenance team also maintains the solar power panels
and institutional lighting and electrical transformer.
1.Generator Maintenance:
Follow the instructions of the manufacturer.
Modify and adjust the speed of the generator
Fuel filters will change frequently.
Note down fuel level.
To inspect for the contamination, drain water from tank.
Frequently change engine oil and other lubrication on engine and generator.
To check cooling system for leaks and air blockage.
After usage to remove diesel from area around the generator
To check generator winding and clean if required.
1.Maintenance of Library:
The Library headed by a qualified Librarian and ably supported by library staff ensures smooth and
efficient functioning of the Library. He also tackles issues relating to library facilities. A suggestion box is
installed inside the reading room to take users feedback. Their regular feedback helps a lot in introduce
new ideas regarding library enhancement. To make sure return of books, ‘no dues’ from the library is
mandatory for students before appearing in examination. The proper log of visitors/users (students and
staff) is maintained on daily basis.

Regular maintenance of the college indoor and outdoor sport and games are being supervised and
maintained by well qualified staff appointed for the purpose. The Director Physical Education maintains
and monitors the Sports facilities.
